Manganese: Three methods are available. The 1-(2-pyridylazo)-2-naphthol(PAN) method forms an orange complex with manganese. The other two methods use oxidation of manganese to permanganate by either persulfate or periodate, and subsequent analysis of the resulting pink color. Metal interferences with the PAN method can be eliminated using the #7104 Cyanide Inhibitor Package. |
