Acidity: The 7604-DR uses a standard alkali to titrate to the methyl orange endpoint for determination of strong mineral acids, and the phenolphthalein endpoint for determination of strong mineral acids, carbon dioxide, other weak acids and hydrolyzable mineral salts. The results are expressed as CaCO3. The 7182 uses the phenolphthalein endpoint to determine hydrochloric, sulfuric, and phosphoric acids. |
