Science Fair Project- Let’s compare Drinking Water

“We are doing a science fair project testing the drinking water of three states and comparing them. Could you give me information on ordering an inexpensive testing kit that would help us with our project?”

For a science fair, I recommend our Science Projects Kits, which use non-hazardous TesTabs® to test pH (order code 3-5873), Chlorine (3-5876), Copper & Iron (3-5877), and Hardness (3-5879). Each project kit shows how to develop a science project using the scientific method and describes each of the chemical factors. Ten to 20 tests are included in these kits. (You may view these products on our website www.lamotte.com; Click Here for Science Project Kits. Cost $16.95 each in 2004.)

Another option is to order The Urban Water Quality Test Kit (order code 5918). This kit provides a hands-on introduction to the basic concepts of water chemistry and environmental awareness in urban areas. All of the necessary equipment is included to do 10 tests for the following factors using our non-hazardous TesTabs® methods: chlorine, copper, iron, hardness, nitrate, pH, phosphates, and temperature and a teacher’s manual. Cost $34.95

Lastly, the TEACH Water Kit uses test strips (order code 5927) for alkalinity, chlorine, hardness, pH, and nitrate/nitrite (50 tests each). A handbook is included. Cost $36.00
