We would like to express our appreciation to the following authors for their contributions: Edward Moyer, ACWF Coordinator for World Water Monitoring Day (e.moyer@acwf.org) for highlighting World Water Monitoring Day, a massive global effort aimed at educating communities; Bill Deutsch, Program Manager for Alabama Water Watch and Principal Investigator of the USAID-funded water project in the Philippines (wdeutsch@acesag.auburn.edu) for his insight into the cross-cultural differences in the technical and human side of community-based monitoring. Wendy Griswold, et.al., Kansas State University, (grizmart@swbell.net) contributed a wonderful article about working with a Siberian University and community to collect baseline information on water quality. Yvonne Cai and Ning Shao, State of Maryland China Office, (yvonnecai@mccusa.org) are working very hard to put together a community Adopt a Creek response to poor water quality on the Suzhou Creek in Shanghai. Dan Poux, Earth Force Director of International Programs, (dpoux@earthforce.org) describes engaging youth in El Salvador, Panama, and Mexico. |
