Suitable for Children- Water Testing Kits

Answer: For fifth graders, we recommend our selection of Earth Force/GREEN Water Monitoring Kits. For fresh water, we suggest the Low Cost Monitoring Kit as a great introduction with descriptions of each test and how it affects water quality overall. This kit performs 8 different test factors: pH(10), DO(10), BOD(10), temp(unlimited), turbidity(unlimited), nitrate(10), phosphate(10), and coliform bacteria(3). All of the GREEN kits use safe, non-hazardous TesTabs®. For larger class sizes, a Standard GREEN kit is available with an excellent teacher's manual and an additional module for benthic macroinvertebrate testing.
