- The capacity of the Model S Softener included in the AT-38 Water Quality Demo Outfit is approximately 70 gallons at 60-120ppm (3.5-7gpg) hardness.
- We recommend regenerating softeners after each day's demonstration to ensure proper performance. Follow the directions provided with the softener or the AT-38 manual.
- The rubber faucet adapter fits most standard faucets. When new, the rubber is quite stiff and will go on with some effort. This faucet adapter will not accommodate the new, larger head faucets.
- Be sure that the clamps on the inlet and outlet hoses are unclamped to allow water to flow from the softener.
- To avoid blowing the adapter off the faucet, SLOWLY turn on the faucet and adjust the flow using the spigot until a 1" layer of water is visible over the resin.
- When the demonstration is completed, allow excess water to run to waste. Then clamp the inlet and outlet hoses to avoid water dripping into the carrying case.
